Planning Design Studio worked with Great Rivers Greenway (GRG), project partners and local residents to identify alignment opportunities for a new greenway that connects the Katy Trail to the Dardenne Greenway in St. Charles County, Missouri. This new greenway connection was identified as a top priority in the 2020 St. Charles Greenway Master Plan that PDS completed. 
The planning team led by PDS established an eight square mile study area and gathered information on existing conditions in the corridor. Greenway alignments were developed and evaluated with a matrix that measures the options relative to the goals established for the project. Feedback from the stakeholders was gained through numerous public meetings, committee groups, project partners and multiple on-line surveys. 
Additional planning work to determine the feasibility of the north area alignment, developed as part of the Baltic Creek Greenway Master Plan, is underway by PDS.
