The Cape La Croix Trail is a heavily used and much loved 5-mile trail system in the heart of Cape Girardeau.  Originally constructed in 1993 to remove bicycle traffic from congested local roads, the trail and its amenities were showing signs of age.

Planning Design Studio inventoried and analyzed existing resources and conditions and gathered public input to create a long-term improvement plan. Our final master plan included a multi-phase redevelopment schedule that increases pedestrian and bicycle safety, improves trail amenities, and visually and functionally enhances the trail experience.
