Planning Design Studio renovated this prominent section of Kirkwood Park known as “The Ridge” based on public input received during the Kirkwood Park System master planning process. 

The park’s expanded amenities now include an ornamental, stone-walled concession stand, stone pavilions, new playgrounds and new comfort stations.  A renovated historic pavilion set the design’s architectural theme, so that all of the park’s structures tie together with a cohesive aesthetic.   This project was featured in the publication Landscape Architect & Specifier News.
