As a follow-up to the 2018 Creve Coeur Parks Master Plan, Planning Design Studio created a detailed master plan for the City’s signature 25-acre Millennium Park. The focused planning effort included an analysis of the existing park conditions and a collection of community input through public meetings and an online survey. PDS developed several “bubble diagram” concepts for improvements and utilized input from the public and the city to identify a preferred concept. This concept was refined and PDS and more input from the city was incorporated. The master plan features a large, consolidated play area, an obstacle course, a large splash pad, a renovated park entrance and drop off area, a new lake water feature with a boardwalk, a pavilion/bandstand and expanded walking and nature trails. The design resolved conflicts between pedestrians, and cyclists near the park entrance. The final product was a master plan graphic, 3D perspective renderings of park improvements and budget estimates for the renovations.
