Planning Design Studio is pleased to announce the receipt of three ASLA awards for recently completed planning projects. One award was received from the Central States ASLA Conference awards program and two awards were received from the St. Louis Chapter ASLA awards program.
The Vision 2030 – St. Louis County Parks Master Plan received an Honor Award in the Planning & Analysis category as part of the 2019 Central States Conference awards program. The Central States Conference brings together hundreds of landscape architects from six chapters and eight states in the Midwest. Participating Chapters include Oklahoma, Prairie-Gateway, St. Louis, Arkansas, Iowa and Nebraska-Dakotas. Over 70 professional awards entries were received and judged by the Indiana Chapter ASLA. Only one Honor Award was given in the Planning & Analysis category and the St. Louis County Parks project was selected in recognition of the quality and scope of that project.
In the St. Louis Chapter ASLA awards program the Rogers Parkway Enhancement Feasibility Study received a Merit Award in the Planning & Analysis category. The St. Louis Chapter Awards included over 30 submittals that were judged by the Texas Chapter. Jury comments for the Rogers Parkway project included “aspirational”, “ambitious project” and “goes beyond planning”. Also, in the Planning & Analysis category, the Vision 2030 – St. Louis County Parks Master Plan project was recognized with an Honor Award. Jury comments included “straightforward approach”, “thorough, clean graphics” and “well thought out”. PDS works hard on all of our projects to exceed our client’s expectations. We are humbled to be recognized by our peers for our efforts.
